Ajamu Designs began as a website called African Americana in February, 2007 when I realized I wanted to really make cool t-shirts. But not just any t-shirts, tees for Black people that had something to say and wanted to look good saying it.
Since the beginning it’s been a one-man operation that expresses my unique view. The designs reflect the good and bad, the tears and laughter, the struggle and triumph of my own Black Experience. I draw on inspiration from all over Black culture, art, music, history, politics… anything. My hope is you'll find something that speaks to you.
So I can focus on the creative work, I partner with CafePress, the leader in on-demand printing. Just pick a design to find apparel for men, women and kids, or other gifts like buttons, magnets and stickers. CafePress will handle your order and send your Ajamu Designs items in no time. I've always been impressed by the high quality products and dynamite customer service offered at CafePress.
Ajamu is an African name that translates, "He fights for what he wants." Thanks for visiting AjamuDesigns.com.
